Learn to cook an entire Indian meal or Thaali (as we call it in India) in this hands-on class taught by Alliance member Garima Kothari! Eight members will learn how to use spices intuitively, how to roll rotis, naans, and parathas, the basics of tempering food, and the three Mother sauces of North Indian cuisine.

We will start the class with Chai and then move on to creating a  Thaali of Naan, Lacha Paratha, Butter Chicken, Vegetable Korma, Daal, Kachumbar Salad, Chutneys, Papad, Pulav and a surprise dessert!

The hands-on class will be held at Garima’s Jersey City apartment that is steps from the Grove Street Path station—less than 30 minutes from Manhattan.

Two volunteers needed : one for write-up and one for photography and social media.
