Artistic Tile Showroom—Flatiron

38 West 21st Street

$45 per Member, $55 per Guest

Meet spice expert and chef Lior Lev Secarz and learn about his new book, Mastering Spice, mingle and network while enjoying a variety of wines and substantial nibbles, and take home a copy of Lior’s book, along with samples and other swag!

Join NYWCA president Rhadia Hursey and long-time member Dina-Melendez Bonnet for a fabulous evening at Artistic Tile’s Flatiron showroom.  We’ll start with a cooking demo of a dessert recipe from Mastering Spice with Dina and Lior.  Then there’ll be a lively discussion with Lior, covering his approach to spices and cooking, followed by a Q&A with the audience. We will end the evening with mingling, networking, and book signing while enjoying a robust spread of appetizers and nibbles with wines from Barterhouse.

*********************

Lior Lev Sercarz began his own journey studying spices and their origins, eventually creating his own blends. Each of them is a reflection of a place, a moment, or cultural influence.  Mastering Spice is Lior’s third book.  He is the owner of La Boîte, located in Manhattan.  He’s been featured in the New York Times, CBS This Morning, Food & Wine, TED Talk, and the Wall Street Journal.
