Did you know that honey is made from the nectar of flowers and its characteristics will change depending upon the type of flower the bees visit?
Honey, like wine reflects its source and environment or terroir imparting a distinctive color, aroma and flavor profile for each harvest.
This workshop begins with a short power point which introduces attendees to how and why bees make honey, the psychology and physiology of how human’s taste. Learn the descriptors for describing aroma and flavor of honey then apply this knowledge to writing honey tasting notes during the guided tasting.
